For example, I have 4 bonds with identical coupon rate of 7.25%, but they mature on 4 different dates (2yr, 5yr, 10yr and 20 yr) If they made all coupon payments yesterday, yield curve is flat, all bonds with the same YTM of 9%, | ||

quite late in China. Introduced first in 2007,
Apple releases iPhone in China
in late October 2009. We have cautioned our reader that without WiFi
capabilities, iPhone may not compete well in China. With price offered by
Apple's partner, Unicom, as high as $ 1000 for the high-end 3GS, one would
wonder how iPhone could compete on itself in the blackmarket.

After two years of agonizing loss, Sprint Nextel (S)
reported 148,000 subscriber loss
for the fourth quarter of 2009, far fewer than the 1 + Million subscribers
loss per quarter that it lost last year. That is a discouraging news from
this perspective. Sprint now serves 48.1 Million subscribers versus 53.8
Million subscribers in 2007, a 5.7 Million subscribers loss.

Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) chugged along in its latest
quarterly performance.
Revenue jumped to $ 9.52 Billion,
an increase of 42% compared to the prior year. You got that right. The 42%
revenue growth is not a misprint. Operating income increased 75% to $ 476
Million in the quarter.

4th quarter earning 2009
and it continued on its dominance in the search business. Revenue rose 17%
year over year. Net income rose to $ 1.98 Billion. This puts it in the
league of the most profitable company in the US. Meanwhile, Google hoards a
cash equivalent of $ 24.5 Billion at the end of 2009.
