Question:
Do you have any recommendations for asian ETF plays that might focus more on china and asia specifically instead of Emerging Markets as a whole? And what makes you think those are good etfs to try? |

Hi, EasyChange. Thank you for submitting your question to Novice Investing. There are many ETF plays for Asia Pacific region. Those includes: |

Now, I have not seen each of their prospectus to find out what exactly they invest in but in general, Asian stocks had a good year in 2006. Thus, price is already way up if you decide to make a purchase here. However, if for the purpose of diversification you decide to buy at this point, I would lean on the cautious side. The combination of EPP and EWJ will give you the diversification that Asia can give. I also choose EWJ because it lags overall Asian market in 2006 and it might provide cushion should other Asian market crashes. Hope that helps |
