Zaraba Method Using an auction process to trade securities

Our take: Zaraba Method is often associated with Japanese stock exchanges

 

Zero Balance Account: A checking account with zero balance

Our take: A zero balance account is used by corporation to improve their cash flow
 

Zero Coupon Bond: A bond that does not give interest but is valued at a discount and it can be sold at maturity for a profit

Our take: As Zero Coupon Bond is solely dependent on the face value appreciation, it tends to be more volatile than common bond
 

Zero Coupon Convertible: Zero Coupon Bond that is issued by corporation that can be converted into common stock.

Our take: Because bond price will appreciate along with common stock, Zero Coupon Convertible tend to offer lower  yield than ordinary Zero Coupon Bond.
 

Zero Sum Game: A situation where one person's profit is another person's loss. The net change in total wealth is zero.

Our take: Excluding comission cost and spread, option are a zero sum game.
 
Zombies: Companies that continue to operate even though they are insolvent.
